Netravali of Lucent Technologies-Bell Labs, Sidney Pestka of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Jerry M. Woodall of Yale University and Michael D. Parker of the Dow Chemical Company.

Secretary Evans leads the Business Development Mission to Mexico City and Monterrey, Mexico.

Secretary Evans hosts a Town Hall meeting at the Cargill Fertilizer grounds of the Tampa Port. Evans took the opportunity to discuss the importance of trade to Tampa workers and present Export Achievement Awards to two local companies: Electric Supply Company and Flayco Food Distributors.
